Can I Get A Peep! Peep?

Pulling out of the station for its 16th consecutive ride on the rails, the Day Out With Thomas: Leader of the Track Tour 2011 will visit more than 45 cities in the United States and Canada. Day Out With Thomas is the only place for families to take a ride with a 15-ton replica of everybody’s favorite No. 1 engine, Thomas the Tank Engine, and enjoy Thomas-themed activities at the Imagination Station, including stamps, temporary tattoos and hands-on arts and crafts. Each year the tour grows, traveling to new destinations, adding new activities and welcoming new visitors.
My family will be there tweeting LIVE and updating our Fun 4 Kids Facebook Site LIVE! For more information on how you can join me, take a look at the Day Out with Thomas Schedule and choose an event that you and your family might be interested in attending. Thomas the Tank Engine will be sharing breaking news reports through his Twitter feed.
Click here for info on all that the event has to offer!
Just a short drive from Lexington you'll find the Kentucky Railway Museum. Each year for two weekends Thomas the Tank Engine visits and brings lots of great activities with him!
Check out the full schedule online - you can choose times to ride the train and then visit the other activities throughout the day! I'll be blogging more about this event in the coming weeks!

If you have a kid interested in learning about insects and who loves to wade in streams, then this program is perfect! These macroinvertebrates teach us about water quality and we will show you the ones that can only live in clean water. All participants will receive a biologist-in-training booklet filled with activities. After an introduction, we will take on off-site trip to the Elkhorn Creek for close up observations of aquatic species. Be sure to bring water, wear sunscreen, wear old clothes that can get wet and shoes that are suitable for wading through water. Program may be cancelled due to bad weather. Registration and pre-payment are required.
