GIVEAWAY!!!

Our next giveaway starts tonight!!
A pair of tickets to Jets Over Kentucky!

A Kentucky Top 10 Summer Event, more than 150 pilots from all over the U.S. and beyond participate in Jets Over Kentucky Week each July, making it the largest event of its kind in the world. This is the "Can't miss it!" event of the summer.

Thousands of spectators come to see a "Parade of Lights," dog fights, aerobatics, fireworks, T-28 Special, mass habu plane launch and various other competitions. Come in early and enjoy the area attractions and other events.

Held at the picturesque Lebanon-Springfield Airport, it has become the thoroughbred of radio-controlled jet shows.

While there are numerous prizes to be won by the RC pilots, the show is an exhibition for fans and an arena for the pilots to show off their skills and aircraft.

Pilots tents run the length of the field, there is a separate area for manufacturers and there are plenty of food vendors. Pilots receive a freedinner on Fri. and Sat., nearly 20 pilor and team awards are presented and two "Big Tops" are next to the main taxiway.

Central Kentucky is situated in the middle of one of the largest concentrations of radio control jet pilots in the country and the Lebanon-Springfield Airport features a 5,000 runway and other amenities that make it ideal for such an event.

Jets Over Kentucky provides an opportunity to see amazing aircraft, have fun and catch up on the latest trends in the RC industry.

Day Out With Thomas

My family just got home from a great day with Thomas the Tank Engine!  We headed down the Bluegrass Parkway about 1hr. 15 min. to New Haven and the KY Railway Museum

Each year Thomas comes to town for two special weekends.  You still have time to get tickets for next weekend June 11 - 12.

We hopped on the train (pulled by Thomas himself!) and headed down the track.  The ride is about 30 minutes and is down and back again.  You get to check out the scenery as you drive, they take your ticket, and you get a special certificate that says you rode the train!

After your ride you can check out one of the many booths they have around the museum.  During your time you can have special booths give you a stamp on a special Thomas map you get when you get there.  After you collect all four stamps you can redeem it for a neat 'wheel of Thomas' that shows all the characters and their names - very helpful for Moms and Dads - and a small set of MegaBlocks with special Thomas stickers to add to it.

We hit the bouncy house, Thomas train tables, bubble truck, tattoo station, and the video/storytelling booth.  There was face painting, mini-golf, a visit with Sir Topham Hat, a magician, and a chance to ring the bell in an old engine.

It's a great way to spend the day and certainly something you don't get to do very often.  I highly recommend taking any Thomas loving little ones down for the day!  Peep! Peep!
