Barnum 200″ is billed as “The Biggest Birthday Bash in Circus History.” Ringmaster Jonathan Lee Iverson invites the audience to leap aboard the Ringling Bros. train and go on a family FUNtastic adventure to meet exotic characters and witness thrilling performances.
The Flying Caceres will attempt to complete the elusive quadruple somersault on the flying trapeze: a feat that hasn’t been mastered in more than three decades. The Puyang troupe from China will dazzle with a stunning display of dexterity as they bounce, flip, and twirl to new heights on a two-tiered trampoline. Through impossible contortions, body benders will fit three humans in a cube the size of a milk crate. The Mighty Meetal, the strongest man in the world, will lift more than 1,200 pounds. Among the hand balancers will be Duo Fusion, a married pair of performers with a twist – the wife does the heavy lifting.
***Patrons can arrive an hour before show time for the All Access Pre-show – free to all ticket holders – where they can meet performers and animals, learn circus skills and enjoy a taste of the performance before the show even starts***

The annual Kentucky Football Fan Day has been slated for Saturday, Aug. 6 at Commonwealth Stadium, as the Kentucky football team will hold an open practice along with an autograph session and fireworks show.
Gates for the event will open at 5 p.m. ET with the open practice, which will consist of offensive, defensive and special team drills, beginning at 6 p.m. ET. Parking will be available in the green, red or blue lots surrounding Commonwealth Stadium.
“We changed the format of the event last year and I think the fans really liked it,” Phillips said. “I think it is important for the fans to see what we do on a daily basis and understand how hard our players work on the practice field. Fan Day is a great chance for our fans to meet our players and our staff and it is something we enjoy doing.”
The open practice will run until 8 p.m. ET and be followed by an introduction of the players and an autograph session. Players and coaches will sign autographs before a fireworks show closes the event. The fireworks are scheduled to take place at approximately 9:30 p.m. ET.
Because of the construction of the new state-of-the-art video boards, ribbon boards, and sound system, a temporary sound system will be used for this year’s Fan Day event and video boards will not be available.

Race for Education!

Donate your time, skills or services in the Race for Education’s silent auction, held in conjunction with the Horsemen of All Ages Sale Bachelor Auction on Friday, September 16, 2011 at the Red Mile Racetrack. The auction is “couples-themed” and we’re looking for creative ideas for a fun date night. Ideas range from gift certificates or gift baskets for golf/tennis lessons, sweet treats, art lessons, tickets to a sporting event, floral arrangements for your spouse, a photography shoot and so much more!

This event was so much fun last year so you won't want to miss it this year!! Get your pledges to earn points towards great prizes (last years prizes were a Nintendo Wii, Ipod Touch, and a Bike)!! Face Painting, Balloon Animals, Food, Games, Lexington Fire Department, and Kentucky Kids Crew will be there!! And we havent forgot about the adults, there will be a silent auction for you. Pre-register now to save on admission! Help us to fill Monkey Joe's on August 5th by inviting your friends and family.
While the kids are hopping, we’ll also have a silent auction for the adults between 6:00 – 7:30 pm.
Items to be auctioned include autographed memorabilia, entertainment packages, spa packages,
UK sports packages, and much more!
Registration Information: $10 ($15 at the door) – Includes children’s admission and game tokens.
No cost for adults. Pre-registration deadline is Monday, August 1st, 2011.
Prizes will be awarded based upon sponsor pledges and bounce time. Top 3 in each age group will receive trophies, with prizes being awarded to the overall top 3 in points.
